How to get round the smoking ban

This is an amusing article on how some ingenious Amercians are flouting the smoking ban. They are dressing up in theatrical dress and claiming that they are putting on a theatre production every time they go to the pub. There is the same loop-hole here: if smoking is part of an artistic performance, it is still allowed inside a public building, which is why actors are still allowed to smoke on TV sets.
