Price discrimination

Ryanair
Prices for flights on Ryanair often vary on their website and the same flight may cost as much as £300 more depending on when you book. This is blatent price discrimination in the 3rd degree because as consumers demand becomes more and more inelastic closer to the time (perhaps the need to fly over for a wedding or funeral) the price increases leaving consumers paying different prices for the same good.

Another way that ryanair set their prices is they look at the calendar of important events in the country they fly to, such as sporting events where they know that a sports fan with a ticket to a game in Ireland has no choice but to pay the price of the flight if they want to see the game.

Yet another example of ryanair ripping people off
