Should Scotland leave the Pound
If you are a keen follower of current affairs, you will be aware of the debate surrounding Scotland and it's aim to get independence. However, the British Media only seem to have provided half of the argument rambling on about the effects that this will have on the Pound.
There is a quite equally proportional division amongst the Scots concerning this potential move. Many believe that leaving the security of the Pound will only put them into further turmoil. The Royal Bank of Scotland and all it's debt despite tax-payers money will be a huge burden on what will be a new and feeble economy. It should also be made aware that England are one of their leading trading partners with the nation being very dependent on UK trade. Discontinuing their association with the UK will weaken trade for a period of time as other nations will look to capitalise on Scotland's need for new trade-links.
However, some people are all for Scotland leaving the Pound. Some business owners say that the hassle of always trying to weight the prices of their stock based on the ever-changing taxation on trade and sinusoidal value of the Pound deters from their productivity. They want to be able to trade freely and they feel that current UK legislation do not allow them to do so.
Also if Scotland opt to have their independence, Team GB will lose their affiliation with great athletes such as Sir Chris Hoy and most importantly "Britain's Andy Murray".
