Year 11 Homework : How do we know if markets should be regulated

Thanks for all your patience last week, gentlemen.  I love the fact that you have the confidence to pull me up when my teaching is below par.  I do the same to you, so it seems only fair.

This will help

I have some quite astonishing news regarding our publishing plans.  I was so over-excited that I have already told the Head, who was blown away.  Exciting times ahead....... I encourage you to get involved in Economics Club, which will meet every Monday in room 107 (we have the lesson straight afterwards).  It starts at 1.20, but come when you see me come over from Roselands

The Homework:

Write about 3 markets which are either regulated or are not regulated

Assessment Criteria:
For each paragraph:

  • explains what regulation means
  • fully justifies choice : gives three linkages explaining choice
  • discards other choice : gives one linkage explaining why
Other criteria:
  • in intro - explanation of regulation
To help, here is Daniel's work.  Go through it and use this forum (not fair otherwise to your non-Facebookied FB Friends) to help understand why it is a great answer.

Going out to get more stories from my friends now, but will be back at 9.30ish so can answer questions then.

Hello. Part of me is quite sad that no-one has commented on the great news.

Appreciate that it is on very late and that was because I have not been on my Mac til today (we're going through a tricky patch in our marriage).

But there is no extension. You'll just have to accept my apologies

sir, wat do we have to linkage? i dont get it!

Totally unacceptable after checking daily evry 3 hours and even today at around 2 i find it hillarious sir think taht we can complete this for tommorw.Odds are extremley hgih many people wouldnt even check at 6 45 in the afternoon on a sunday and why should they when every homework for since year 11 started economics having been posted on a thursday a friday or on one case a saturday. This leads to the conclusion that sir totally forgot and doesnt really care. Personally i recommend an extension till at least till next lesson due to it being sirs fault and not ours if we do not do this homework due to the fact msot of us porbably didnt even know about it till they checked when they were going to bed.

P.S any punctuation mistakes are due to the lateness of the hour and a keyboard which is overly sensitive.

I am going to bed myself in a few minutes. Extending the deadline would create chaos. I have apologised for the late posting. I accept that this might lead to some not doing it. I would be sympathetic, of course: you are right; it is not your fault.

To say, that i do not care when I am on the forum at 22.45 trying to smooth ruffled feathers is an insult and I expect the anonymous poster to apologise tomorrow. There is another set you can be moved to if you feel that my teaching is that bad. We certainly need to discuss your unrealistic demands of a teacher.

a simple solution to this is........sir doesnt check the hmwk tomorrow and he doesnt collect in the books till the lesson after tomorrow. easy :D

Same anonymous as before said...

My previous comments were slightly hasty and of course mr Jefferey is doing a splendid job overall with his teaching and i offer my heartfelt apoligies if he feels i insulted hsi teaching prowess. The fact that mr jefferys took the time and care to spend 2 lessons on a subject many found difficult shows what a good teacher he is and i apologies if he felt insulted when he has generally done a splendid job of teaching a subject which many find challenging at times.

What forum? Where is Daniels work?

bmt sir i dnt understand the homework. There is no link to daniels work or any forum and i dnt really understand the self-regulation topic. I have googled 'self-regulation' and it doesn't help either, so ill attempt the hw but if its bad i do apologise.

Sir is this if certain markets SHOULD be regualted or if they are regulated?
